Just for fun, a little dish shaped like a duck. It begins in the normal way as a circular shape, but when it has dried out to "leather hard"  a long strip is cut out from the base, and the sides are gently squeezed in so the pot becomes elliptical rather than circular.  You have to be careful making the new joint where the sides of the cut-away base meet, or sometimes the pot might quack in the kiln.
